Former NFL player accused of violating the law

A former NFL player who at one time filled the position of cornerback at Georgia Tech was recently arrested and charged on allegations of drug possession. This is not the first time that the man has been accused of breaking the law, although prior arrests or convictions do not play a role in the criminal proceedings for his current charges. Aside from the drug trafficking charges, he has also been accused of illegally possessing a firearm.

Driver who allegedly caused hit and run accident surrendered

An alleged hit-and-run driver turned herself in to police shortly after fleeing the scene of a wreck, according to law enforcement authorities. The two-car accident resulted in one fatality and caused traffic to stall for several miles. Police did not say why the driver ultimately chose to surrender.

Motorcycle accident ends life of Georgia sculptor

After deciding that a statue of Martin Luther King Jr. should be displayed at the state's capitol building, the state of Georgia enlisted the help of a local sculptor to complete the job. Although he had already begun to work on the statue, a devastating car accident brought both the sculptor's work and his life to a screeching halt. When a devastating car wreck results in the wrongful death of a victim, it is often up to the surviving family members to seek compensation through a civil suit.

Teen accused of violating traffic law? You need to take action

While juvenile offenses do differ from adult criminal ones, the pervasive myth that juvenile charges are simply not that serious is inherently wrong and can be hugely damaging to defendants in this type of situation. Teenagers charged with violating the law typically require the same careful guidance through the criminal process as their adult counterparts do. This is the case even with traffic violations, especially those that are serious in nature.

Georgia rapper, Rick Ross, focused on criminal defense

Police recently arrested William Leonard Roberts, who is perhaps better known by the name of Rick Ross, on allegations of both assault and kidnapping. Famous for his rapping skills, Ross is a resident of Georgia. These charges come after an arrest for possession of marijuana, although both incidents apparently occurred close together. His criminal defense is surely Ross' first order of business as he confronts the accusations and prepares for upcoming court proceedings.
