Two law enforcement agencies teamed up in order to conduct the investigation, some of which included undercover efforts at the school. A total of eight people were arrested, at least one of whom is a minor.

Georgia prison employees indicted for alleged law violation

Nearly 50 people were recently indicted on federal charges for drug trafficking. All of those indicted were either prison officers or guards at some point in the past two years and have been accused of accepting bribes in return for violating Georgia state drug trafficking law. The federal investigation was launched after an out-of-state inmate was apparently able to orchestrate criminal activity through the use of a contraband cell phone.

Court date approaches for man accused of violating law

Currently incarcerated in another state, a 20-year-old man will soon be returned to Georgia where he will face allegations of marijuana possession. In addition to supposedly violating state drug law, police also claim that he was in possession of tools specifically used for burglary. However, it is unclear whether he will return in time to make his next court date.

Multiple family members accused of breaking Georgia drug law

A Georgia family's arrest followed an investigation carried out by two local Georgia sheriff's offices. In total, five people, many of whom are members of the same family, were placed under arrest for supposedly violating criminal drug law. One additional individual was taken into custody for a warrant that was apparently not related to the investigation.

Police in Georgia arrest 2 for allegedly violating drug law

A tip led police to search a Georgia area home where they allegedly found a significant amount of illegal drugs. The home's residents were subsequently arrested for violating state and federal drug law prohibiting the possession or sale of methamphetamine, the drug that authorities supposedly discovered. They are both currently behind held without bond.

Georgia men arrested for allegedly violating drug law

Police in Georgia say they recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal drugs following a raid regarding suspected narcotic activity. Two men were arrested for allegedly violating state and federal drug law. They have since been accused of various drug trafficking charges.

Former NFL player accused of violating the law

A former NFL player who at one time filled the position of cornerback at Georgia Tech was recently arrested and charged on allegations of drug possession. This is not the first time that the man has been accused of breaking the law, although prior arrests or convictions do not play a role in the criminal proceedings for his current charges. Aside from the drug trafficking charges, he has also been accused of illegally possessing a firearm.
